Bobby Guy is a contemporary artist whose work draws on pop art, music, film and popular culture. His colourful and playful pieces celebrate the icons, characters and imagery that have shaped our cultural landscape.

Bobby works across traditional and digital media. He creates original paintings as well as original digital artworks, giving each piece its own distinct identity. His digital artworks become limited-edition fine-art prints, while his paintings remain unique originals and never become prints.

Bold colour, graphic imagery and texture define Bobby’s distinctive style. His work combines influences from pop art and street art with his love of music, cinema and contemporary culture. As a result, each piece brings a strong sense of personality and energy.

Bobby also enjoys restoring and transforming vintage frames. He often treats the frame as an extension of the artwork rather than simply a way to display it. This approach gives his original paintings an individual presentation and adds another layer to the work.

Before focusing on art, Bobby spent 25 years in North America working in the music industry. He eventually returned to the UK and threw himself back into making art. With his characteristic sense of humour, Bobby describes the decision as a way to “salvage some sanity.”

His creative background in music continues to influence his artistic practice. The energy, characters and visual language of popular culture often appear throughout his work. Meanwhile, his playful approach allows him to explore familiar subjects in fresh and unexpected ways.

Bobby’s artwork has found homes around the world, including Los Angeles, Moscow, Melbourne and New York City. His work therefore reaches far beyond his UK base and continues to connect with collectors internationally.
